Postage Rates Going Up!

The Postal Service has announced the price increases that will go in effect on May 11, 2009. As a class, First Class mail went up 3.77% and Standard mail 3.78%. The postal reform law of 2006 limits a postal rate increase to the rate of inflation as reflected in the Consumer Price Index. The CPI for the 2009 rate increase was 3.8%.
