New USPS NCOA Move Update Requirements

As a reminder to our customers, the new USPS Move Update requirement will take effect on November 23, 2008.

The Move Update standard has been expanded and will include all First-Class and Standard Mail. Additionally, the minimum frequency of change-of-address processing will be changed to 95 days prior to the date of the mailing to be eligible for automation and presort discount rates.

NCOA Move Update Requirements

This means all mail entered into the mailstream on November 23 must have been processed using an address updating solution, such as the NCOALink service, no earlier than August 20 to meet the Move Update requirement.

Right now many of our customers are preparing mail campaigns for the coming Holiday season. It is important that you consider the 95 day window as you set your data processing schedule.
